HAMILTON WEST PALM BEACH IS FINALLY HEREEEE! 🌟 We waited a long time to see this show because we wanted to see it at our home theater, the @kraviscenter—and it was SO MUCH better than either of us had imagined 🙌🏼 Here’s a peek at our lovely evening at the theater seeing this long-awaited show 🥂 I went in totally blind, knowing nothing about the show except that it‘s been a worldwide sensation for several years now—“America then, as told by America now” 🇺🇸 And let me just say: the hype is real and SOMEONE REALLY SHOULD HAVE WARNED ME IT’S A TEAR-JERKER (seriously, come prepped with tissues) 😭 It’s still on my mind nearly a week later—a beautiful story, a fresh work of performance art with a script that blew my mind. @hamiltonmusical is at the Kravis through February 16—enter the lottery for your chance to grab $10 tickets! 🎟🎭🎼

OFF THE GRID 🦎🇧🇷 We’re in Brazil, heading out this morning on the M/Y Tucano (behind us) for an off-the-grid expedition into the Amazon... deeper into the rainforest, in fact, than any other tour goes! 😱 (I didn’t know this when I signed up 🤣) Wish us luck among the anacondas (and caimans, poison frogs, harpy eagles, jaguars, etc.) ... 😅

Having your best friends spread across the country really sucks, except when you get an assignment to one of their hometowns ❤️ Thanks for showing me around your stomping grounds this weekend @hannah.spargo—still wish you’d move to Florida so we could share cocktails + belly laughs + clothes + knowing looks + all the sass on a daily basis, but let’s be real, the world (and @aaronjnosbisch) probably couldn’t handle it. 😂 Miss you and Charlotte already!

NOTES FROM ALASKA (literally copied/pasted from “Alaska notes” in my phone 😂)—SAVE THIS POST if you plan to visit someday!

Alaska is a seasonal destination - not really possible for tourists to visit in the winter

First week of September is a great time to go because it’s nearing fall and colors are changing already (foliage turns much sooner in Alaska); good weather; only a couple weeks left of the season; animals are in “hyperphagia” (more active) so high probability of seeing wildlife
Drawback (or a plus lol): fewer children/families because kids are back in school so draws an older crowd

Must-try food in Alaska: reindeer sausage! You can find reindeer dog carts throughout Anchorage with practically the same density that you’ll find hot dog stands in the streets of New York City.

Calving = when part of a glacier breaks off and falls into the water and becomes an iceberg (so icebergs = broken-off chunks of glaciers)

Fun fact: there are more privately licensed pilots per capita in Alaska than any other state - 1 of every 62(?) people - the only way to get some places is dog sled or private plane!

Take a “safari” to see the “big five” of Alaska: grizzly bears, moose, caribou, wolf, Dall sheep - binoculars are a must!

Make sure to read Jack London’s “The Call of the Wild” before you visit or during your trip

Most people think of cruising when they think of visiting Alaska, but did you know you can explore Alaska by land AND sea with @princesscruises?! We’re doing an inland adventure before embarking for the Inside Passage next week. ❄️

Most interesting thing I’ve learned so far on the inland portion is that Alaska’s Denali mountain—formerly named Mt. McKinley by an Ohio gold prospector to show support for President McKinley, though the local native people had called it Denali for centuries 🤔—is the highest peak in North America, and is actually taller from base to summit than Mt. Everest!

Aaron’s fun fact is that Denali was first summited by four rowdy locals on a barroom dare—it took them 18 hours and they did it carrying a bag of donuts, a thermos of hot chocolate, and a 14-foot spruce pole. 😂 No one believed this “Sourdough Expedition” really made it to the top until another group of climbers on a summit expedition 3 years later spotted their spruce pole!

P.S. This is a giant rack of moose antlers, which they shed in the winter and grow back again each spring, larger every year. Also there’s no moose emoji so here’s a deer. 🦌

I do x2! 💍

Married @aaronjnosbisch again and spent a gorgeous few days in Aruba 😍🇦🇼 During the trip, we participated in Aruba’s 3rd annual beachwide vow renewal ceremony—the largest in the Caribbean!—with 200 other couples, and a backdrop of one of the most beautiful beaches/sunsets I’ve ever seen.

The romantic island of Aruba was the perfect setting for such a huge celebration of love and commitment, and we had a blast exploring its many adventures and stunning scenes over the past few days. 🌅
